By now, you should have received your 26 curated whiskey samples, each selected to take you on a journey through styles, regions, strengths, and surprises over the next 26 days.
This is going to be fun, relaxed, educational, and at times… a bit chaotic. Exactly how whiskey should be.

Live Tasting Schedule
I’ll be live for most nights, but life happens — so here are the dates I won’t be able to go live:
❌ No Live Stream On:
- Wednesday 3rd – have to help my wife as she did pretty much help me fill 600 minis so I owe her.
- Thursday 4th – I do Irish lessons and this is the last one of the year.
- Sunday 8th – Gone Drinking.
- Monday 9th – This is a next level day drinking day.
- Friday 20th – First Family Christmas Dinner.
- Christmas Eve – 24th – lets play this one by ear if we all want it or not.
- Christmas Day – 25th (pre-recorded)
- St. Stephen’s Day – 26th (pre-recorded)
✔️ Live on all other nights at 7:30pm
What Happens on Non-Live Nights?
Don’t worry — you won’t miss a thing.
On the nights I can’t go live, you’ll still get:
- 🎥 A pre-recorded tasting video, OR
- 📝 A written blog-style tasting post, OR
- ⭐ Both, if I’m feeling fancy
Everything will be updated right here on this page before 7:30pm each day.
That means no matter what — you’ll always have:
- The whiskey of the day
- Tasting notes
- Background on the distillery/style
- Links to related videos
- A place to catch up whenever you like

Every single day, this page will update with:

Do I have to join the live tasting every night?
Nope!
This isn’t school — no roll-calls, no pressure, no guilt.
The nightly live sessions are simply a chance for us to:
- Share thoughts together
- Talk about what we like (or don’t!)
- Guess the whiskey before the reveal
- Enjoy a bit of craic with fellow whiskey fans
If you can make it — amazing.
If not — every live stream will remain on YouTube, so you can catch up anytime.
What if Ronan can’t host a live one night?
Life happens and whiskey helps us deal with it.
There will be a few nights I can’t go live (usually Thursdays, and some days I’ll be away drinking).
But don’t worry: every night’s whiskey will still be posted here on the page.
You’ll get:
- The whiskey of the day
- The bottle reveal
- A tasting order
- Links to related YouTube videos
- Written tasting notes
- Extra background info if you want to dive deeper
So whether I’m live or not, the experience continues.
How you choose to enjoy the Advent is totally up to you
There are no rules except to enjoy yourself.
Whether you want to:
- Sip along live
- Drink a few behind schedule
- Save all 26 until Christmas Day and cause absolute havoc
- Or down the whole lot on night one like a hero (not recommended, but technically possible)
