My Boy Blue, Dingle, Coffee Shop

Looking for the best coffee and brunch in Dingle?

My Boy Blue may just be the spot you can’t miss. Situated just as you are swinging up towards the main street of the town, this café has built a cult following, serving some of the finest specialty coffee on the Dingle Peninsula. This beloved café has been keeping locals and visitors happy since 2016, thanks to their dedication to exceptional coffee and mouthwatering, locally-inspired dishes. Using beans from roasters around Ireland (the few time’s I have been here it was Cloud Picker and 3FE), their flat white is perfection: rich, velvety, and brewed with love. Does this make it the Best Coffee in Dingle … maybe.

But it’s not just the coffee that’ll win you over. The brunch menu is a masterpiece, featuring Avocado Smash with poached eggs, indulgent French Toast loaded with berries and maple syrup, and silky Eggs Benedict that redefine breakfast goals. The dishes are simple yet packed with flavour, using the best local ingredients. This really is the place you want after an amazing Dingle night out, which sadly I have missed on many an occasion as they close Monday and don’t reopen until Thursday which kills my soul a wee bit every time I am down on those days. In this sad case nip up to the also great coffee spot Bean in Dingle for a coffee and croissant.

Saying that when it’s open I rush to step inside for a laid-back vibe that’s both welcoming and cool, with fresh decor and a buzz that keeps you lingering. The staff? Pure legends friendly, passionate, and ready to make your experience unforgettable. They are always busy with take-away and seated brunchers yet seem to be chilled and relaxed.

Whether you’re fuelling up for a day exploring the Wild Atlantic Way, recovering from the night before or just craving a great brunch with sea air, My Boy Blue delivers every time. It’s a Dingle gem you’ll keep coming back to.

Pop in, grab a table (be prepared to wait in the high season and weekend) or a take away, and taste why My Boy Blue is a must-visit for anyone exploring Ireland’s stunning coast.

Coffee in Dingle

For a town its size, Dingle is surprisingly well-caffeinated. You won’t have to go far to find a flat white, but if you’re on the hunt for speciality coffee the good stuff, with carefully sourced beans and baristas who actually care it’s a bit more of a mission. That said, Dingle punches well above its weight. You just need to know where to look. I’ve done the sipping and scouting for you, so make sure to check out my list of the best coffee shops in Dingle if you’re after quality over convenience. This is for those who know the difference between coffee… and great coffee in Dingle.
